Flying family

by | Nov 26, 2011 | 36 comments

This capture is from my recent trip to Kenya. The lake Nakuru’s abundance of algae attracts vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore.

This family of seven and the bokeh effect of the photo.. made me post the capture in both Sunday Stills and Post a week 2011/Weekly photo challenge.

This is perhaps the best example of a shot that puts the observer truly in amazement 🙂
The contrast of the flamingos & the refined colors that blends perfectly with the blueness is a work of great composition!

Great shot 🙂 I love the fact that the subject has such a braight color and the background is more bland.
