Sunday Stills: The Sign of Fall!

by | Sep 27, 2009 | 27 comments

There is no sign of fall in here! So I had to rely on my archives..once again πŸ™

Fallen2 The fall of the stone wall…

Break-in..when tsunami hit the subcontinent..

..which took around 290,000 lives from 11 countries! Β The US Geological Survey said the earthquake which resulted in tsunami measured 9.0 on the Richter scale, making it the largest quake in four decades, worldwide. The tsunami was just a reminder from the mother nature. We are really very close to the POINT OF NO RETURN!

Sorry folks, I’m a bit down in spirits this weekend! Maybe the ‘Signs of Fall’ is reminding me of something, which I lost long back! πŸ™

More Signs of fall!

When I feel low, I like to..

    go for a run
    drink hot chocolate
    visit an animal park
    lie in the sun
read a book I’ve read before and loved
find a really old person to talk to
or bake peanut butter and choc chip biscuits.

Maybe they are all too girly occupations, but sunshine is so cheering, you could find something manly to do that takes you into it. πŸ™‚

Hope tomorrow looks better for you.

Love the leaves. The second shot is interesting. Taking a quick look without the text, you’d think it was just another peaceful beach scene…and when you dig deeper, it changes everything. Perspective.

Wonderful, perfect pictures. I especially like the first one because my eye can’t stop moving around it.

As for the sad memory, darlin’….without the clouds we wouldn’t enjoy the sunshine, would we…

We often think of the beauty of nature during the fall, but it’s good to remember that it is a force to be reckoned with.

Chin up, Niven. Take your camera outside in the fresh air and focus on photography. Whenever I’m feeling sad that helps get my mind refocused on the beauty and miracles around me. You know how to make magic happen with your photography. Go do it now!
(Do you like how bossy I am? lol!)

Beautiful photos, of course. Creative borders, too.
Looks like I should get me some kind of photo-editing software to play with some day. Looks like fun!

I understand the dumps…memories and lost plans. Sometimes lost people and scenes of comfort and change.
I really like your captures and display of them inside the film slide.
Smile…you have lots of admiriers and tons of talent!

This time of year is good for introspection, which can sometimes lead to sadness. But certainly most of us are daily moved by the struggles of Earth and all its inhabitants, as your second photo depicts, where weather becomes less predictable. Even my dry well, and the personal hardship I am experiencing from it has to do with climate change. Although painful, these things teach us we cannot control Nature, and the sooner we start working with her, the better!

The photos are lovely. Hope you feel more centered and cheerful soon!

Your photos are beautiful and gives food for thoughts. To be down, in spirit now and then is inevitable for a sensitive artist, not a plesant sentiment to be in, but often a way to get new ideas, and new hope.

    Best wishes.

The first one is beautful, and the second shot is so poignant.
I find I am more thoughtful and full or remembrance in the autumn than at any other time of year. Don’t know why.

Well….to be ‘down in spirits’ is a sign of fall too…..!
Beautiful picture nr. 2, but the reason why the stones are there is of course very sad…
